<p>PURPOSE:To stop error propagation in the unit of recording blocks by providing a large block processing section, a high efficient coding section, a recording block processing section and a discrimination signal generating section to the coder so as to output a discrimination signal of data of a recording block. CONSTITUTION:A signal inputted from an input section 8 is divided into large blocks each comprising plural sampling values at a large block processing section 9, and data of each large block is subject to high efficient coding so as to be a prescribed data quantity in the unit of large blocks by a high efficient coding section 10. Then the large block subject to high efficient coding is divided into plural recording blocks by a recording block processing section 11. Simultaneously, a discrimination signal generating section 12 generates a discrimination signal representing to which location of data the data of recording block corresponds and outputs the signal to an output section 13 together with the recording block. Thus, even when a preceding recording block is not reproduced, since what kind of data exists at the head data of the current recording block is judged, the decoding is attained from that point of time and the error propagation is stopped in the unit of recording blocks.</p> |
