In, for example, a cellular radiotelephone network, such a connection unit (1', 2', 3') comprises: - a first conventional no. 7 signalling point (4', 5', 6') for conventional management of access to the parent exchange (7') in respect of subscribers connected to the connection units, by means of signalling messages conforming to the A interface defined by the GSM; - a second no. 7 signalling point (31, 32, 33) and no. 7 links (39) to a signalling point (43) of a service control point (8'), these links (39) supporting a so-called intelligent network interface (IN) so as to manage, via the control point (8'), connections established via a unit (1', 2', 3') between subscribers linked to this same unit, or connections (34, 35) established directly towards other connection units, or towards the public network (9') without these connections requiring a link via the parent exchange (7) of the units.

|
