Biological supports for cell cultures comprise a mixt. of a coagulable protein concentrate (I) and 'calcium thrombin' (II). (I) is obtd. by treating plasma with EtOH and contains 'equilibrated proportions' of coagulable fibrinogen, factor XIII and fibronectin. (II) is used in the amt. necessary to initiate coagulation of (I).
