VARIABLE INTAKE SILENCER IN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

The apparatus reduces noise generated by the air intake system of automobiles in a variable way. The apparatus includes: a side branch (6) with a plurality of valves (8a)(8b) installed thereon; a signal processing section (10) for outputting frequency/voltage converting signals; a comparing section (18) for comparing the output signals of the signal processing section (10) with a reference signal; and actuators (24a)(24b) for closing/opening valves (8a)(8b). Valve drivers (22a)(22b) which constitutes a valve driving section (22) are turned on by the output signals of the comparing section (18).
