The cultivating system periodically and automatically supplies water in a regular amount for cultivating the sprouts in vessels arranged in layers in the manner of each being received in the other with the stepped portion. On the top of the system is positioned a water tank having a water clock hole at its bottom center and bein received on the top of a spraying vessel having a weighing vessel pivotally mounted on a pivot pin positioned across to be eccentric. The weighing vessel having a weight on the outer bottom edge is supported on a stopper member (25) until the empty vessel is filled with a certain amount water dropping from the water tank through the clock hole. When water reaches a designated amount, the weighing vessel tumbles on the eccentrically positioned pin to pour the water over the spray to supply water for the sprouts.
