PURPOSE:To obtain wool yarn having far infrared radiation characteristics by immersing selected, washed and dried raw wool in a mixed aqueous solution of inorganic granules having specific far infrared radiation characteristics and a dispersant, drying and finishing the raw wool into wool yarn. CONSTITUTION:Raw wool is selected, washed, dried, immersed in a mixed aqueous solution of one or more inorganic compounds which are selected from alumina, zirconia, magnesia and titanium oxide having >=65% average far infrared radiation ratio at 4.5-30mum wavelength at 30 deg.C, >=95% purity and are particles having 0.2-1.5mum average particle diameter and a dispersant of fatty acid salt, alkyl sulfate, ester salt or alkylbenzenesulfonate, impregnated with the particles and then dried. Then the impregnated raw wool is finished into wool yarn by worsted system or woolen system. |
