The stress imposed by the tool (3) on the three-point linkage (2) securing it to the tractor (1) is determined by a strain gauge or extensometric detector (11) secured to the tractor structure in the region of the hydraulic operating unit (9). The upper end of the control lever (12) cooperates with the extensometric detector through the action of a pivoted lever mounted on a shaft (40) and articulated at its lower end (13) to the structure of the tractor. The control lever (12) is that one used previosuly, in power take-offs, for monitoring stress with mechanical-hydraulic systems.
