摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance the pattern accuracy by coating the electrode base material of a fuel cell with molten parafin in a specified pattern, coating the electrode base material with a dispersed solution of fluoric resin, baking the electrode base material, and thereby oxidating and removing the parafin. CONSTITUTION:Molten parafin is applied by printing method on an electrode base material 4 consisting of porous carbon in the position where an electrolyte reservoir is to be prepared. The pattern of the electrolyte reserver shall be grating, polka-dotted, etc., and the area design shall be such as to provide satisfactory reaction gas supplying function and electrolyte retaining function. After coating with parafin, a high dispersed solution of fluoric resin 3 is sprayed over the base material, wherein the fluoric resin 3 permeates into the parts other than the parafin attached part because this part repels water. The resultant is dried by hot wind and baked for decomposing and removing the parafin, and thus electrolyte reserver is accomplished. Thereby the pattern accuracy is enhanced.
