<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the abandonment rate of data cells and to properly transmit data by giving a cell collision signal to a butter control part through the same route as a data cell, which is invalidated by collision, in an opposite direction to re-transmit the corresponding data cell. CONSTITUTION:A sorting network 101 is provided with plural stages of switching elements which switch the route to transmit data cells to a corresponding output terminal, a route control means which detects the arrival of data cells having the same output terminal as destinations in each switching element to transmit a cell collision signal, and a cell collision signal route generating means. Even if data cells are collided with each other in switching elements in the sorting network 101, the cell collision signal is given to buffer control parts 1041 to 104n of corresponding input channels I1 to In through the same route as the data cell, which is invalidated by the collision, in the opposite direction, and the invalidated data cell is retransmitted.</p> |
