Connector for weld seam tightness testing - has flanged support welded to inner side of upper foil with free end connectable to standard socket

The connector consists of a nozzle (8) with a flange (1), the top face of which is welded to the miner face of the upper foil (2) and the bottom face of which has ribs or projections (4) defining open passages (5). The nozzle (8) is pref. in the form of a tube with a free end suitable for connection to a standard socket. The nozzle may be surrounded by a pref. threaded (11) ring (10) connected to the flange (1). Pref. the nozzle (8), the flange (1) and the ring 910) consist of a one-piece thermoplastic injection moulding with a meeans shore hardness of 75-90. USE/ADVANTAGE - For seam tightness testing of welding thermoplastic foils used e.g. in tunnel linings. Easily welded and sealed to the sealing foil sheet.
