<p>PURPOSE:To prevent abrasion of a magnetic head and damage to a tape by controlling the tape not to come in contact with the magnetic head, controlling also the tape to be fast forwarded or fast rewound and searching a program of music from the revolving frequency of a reel at the time of program searching by fast forwarding or fast rewinding the tape. CONSTITUTION:The present position of the tape is detected by a signal processing part 15 and this information is sent to a system control part 11, and when the tape does not reach the vicinity of a target position, a mechanism is driven again by the system control part 11 with an FF mode. When it is discriminated by the system control part 11 that the tape reaches the vicinity of the target position, an instruction is issued to a mechanism control part 13 to stop the FF mode and to shift it to a reproducing mode, while another instruction is issued to a panel control part 12 to display the stoppage of an FF skip operation at a display panel. By this method, since the tape is fast forwarded or fast rewound without coming into contact with the magnetic head 14, abrasion of the magnetic head and damage of the tape can be prevented, and also the load of a motor can be lightened.</p> |
