PURPOSE:To automate the register of a web by initially setting each form roller with the aid of a reference phase sensor and a rotating degree sensor and further carrying out the automatic fine adjustment of irregularity in the position of the rollers, which is caused by the operation of a gear, with the aid of a camera and a control monitor. CONSTITUTION:After mounting respective form rollers 2 to respective printing units 3, helical gears 16 are rotated to adjust respective crosswise direction sensors 25 to a zero point by a pulse motor 26. Then, a motor 27 for cleaning is actuated by a control unit 9, and the respective form rollers 2 are thereby rotated by a proper phase angle theta. Then, while checking the crosswise direction sensors 25, minute irregularity in the position of the form rollers 2 is ascertained by a camera 10 and a control monitor 8 to input in into the control unit 9 and, by controlling the pulse motor 26, a working body 24 is moved in a crosswise direction to rotate a helical gear 17, there by correcting the phase position of the respective form rollers 2. Then, after the correc tion is ascertained by the camera 10 and the control monitor 8, a rotating knob 18 is rotated so that the crosswise direction of the respective form rollers 2 is also proper ly set. By this method, sharp printing without shift is made possible. |
