PURPOSE:To improve the anisotropic energy of a ferromagnetic material by adding Si to a ferromagnetic material essentially consisting of La as a rare earth element and consisting of transition metals and other specified elements. CONSTITUTION:The compsn. of a ferromagnetic material is formed of the one expressed by a chemical formula: R2{T,M)1-xSix}17. R denotes at least one kind essentially contg. La among rare earth elements including Y, T denotes at least one kind among Co, Fe and Ni and M denotes at least one kind among Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Zr, Nb, Mo, Hf, Ta and W as well as (x) satisfies O<x<=0.15. This ferromagnetic material is constituted of intermetallic compounds having a rhombohedral crystalline structure and has crystalline magnetic anisotropy and the axis of easy magnetization in the direction of the crystalline C axis, and in which high saturation magnetization and the high Curie temp. of about >=400 deg.C can be obtd. Thus, the material is formed into the one excellent in magnetic properties. |
