<p>PURPOSE:To easily obtain the title monomer capable of effective introduction into polymeric base materials by reaction between a specific monomer and the N-terminated amino group of a peptide prepared by a specific means, in such a state that a resin carrier has been bound to said peptide to effect separation from the carrier and deprotection. CONSTITUTION:(A) A peptide prepared by successively extending peptide chain, in a solvent such as DMF, using peptide solid phase synthesis, keeping such a state that the carboxyl group of the C-terminated amino acid has been bound to an inert, insoluble resin carrier (e.g. chloromethyl resin), is reacted with (B) a monomer having polymerizable functional group (e.g. vinyl, acetylene) at its N-terminated amino group, keeping such a state that said peptide has been bound to said carrier or the protective group at the side chain of said peptide has been preserved, thus synthesizing peptide monomer. Thence, the monomer is separated from the resin carrier and the protective group is deprotected, thus affording the objective peptide monomer.</p> |
