PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition, excellent in palatability and preventive properties for hyperphagia and useful as foods, etc., by blending water-soluble dietary fiber with a protein having an isoelectric point within the acidic region and a gel strength regulator in a proportion so as to provide a prescribed value of the gel strength in contact with gastric juice. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition which is a composition, containing water-soluble dietary fiber (e.g. carrageenan) with a protein (e.g. sodium caseinate) having an isoelectric point within the acidic region and a gel strength regulator (e.g. CaCO3) and prepared by blending the ingredients in a proportion so as to provide a gel state and >=1, preferably 1.5-5 gel strength in contact with gastric juice. |
