ACCESS METHOD TO NETWORK PERIPHERAL DEVICE

PURPOSE:To attain the transmissive accesses to the peripheral device of its own system as well as to the peripheral devices of other systems in a network without changing the system and the software property by transferring a system call to another system after converting the call into a protocol. CONSTITUTION:When an application 12 produces an access request to a peripheral device 10 of a system S1 of the start side, the access request is sent to a peripheral device control part 13. Meanwhile an access request produced by the application 12 to a peripheral device 11 of a system S2 of the answer side of a network is sent to a network peripheral device control part(NPN) 14 and converted into a protocol. This protocol is sent to the system S2. The system S2 interprets the received protocol and has an access to the device 11 by means of an NPN 18 which is qualified by an NPN 17. Thus it is possible to have the transmissive accesses to the peripheral device of its own system as well as to the peripheral devices of other systems of the network without changing the system and the software property.
