摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance the durability of a receptor by forming a photoconductive Se-Te alloy layer contg. a specified amount of halogen on a support while adjusting the Te content to a specified percentage range as a whole and to a specified value or above at a part close to the support and the ratio in Te content between a part close to the surface and the part close to the support to <=1. CONSTITUTION:An Se-Te alloy layer is formed on an electrically conductive support to manufacture an electrophotographic receptor. At this time, the Te content of the whole photosensitive layer is adjusted to 5-20wt%, and that of a part close to the support to >=5%. The ratio in Te content between a part close to the surface of the photosensitive layer (up to 1-3mum depth from the surface) and the part close to the support is adjusted to (65-100):100. To said alloy layer is added 5-500ppm Cl, Br or I. As a result, the photosensitive layer is amorphous, and even after repeating copying many times (>= several 10,000 times), the Te content of the surface alloy layer is uniform. The resulting receptor causes irregularity such as black streaks on a copy, has high sensitivity and undergoes less reduction in the sensitivity even after repeating copying many times.
