METHOD FOR SELECTING SWITCHING DESTINATION CHANNEL IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION

PURPOSE:To prevent momentary interruption of communication at channel switching depending on the relation of communication channel position by comparing the communication channel position before changeover with each idle channel position in a zone of an adjacent base station at channel changeover. CONSTITUTION:Central controllers 62-64 of adjacent base stations 32-34 use channel assignment management tables 72-74 to retrieve all idle channels in its own station zone and send the retrieved idle channel number and a busy channel number t2 of a mobile equipment 2 to channel location comparators 122-124. The channel location comparators 122-124 compare the inputted idle channel number with the busy channel number t2 of the mobile equipment 2, select a channel of a different position from the busy channel number t2 and send the selected channel number to the central controllers 62-64. Thus, momentary interruption of communication is prevented at channel switching.
