CONDUCTIVE HIGH POLYMER ELECTRODE AND ITS MANUFACTURE AND SECONDARY BATTERY USING IT

PURPOSE:To enhance battery capacity by forming a conductive high polymer electrode from a conductive high polymer selected from a group of high polymers consisting of one with bridge connection, one in which electric charge infused by an electron beam remains, and one having supermicro holes formed in the surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:An electron irradiation device is provided with an acceleration chamber 1. The acceleration chamber 1 is provided with an irradiation window 4. A conductive high polymer 6 serving as a subject to be irradiated is disposed opposite to the irradiation window 2. Electrons emitted from a filament cathode portion 3 are accelerated by an electric field in the acceleration chamber 1 and are converged into an electron flow 5 and then penetrate through the irradiation window 4 and the conductive high polymer 6 i.e., a subject to be irradiated is irradiated therewith. Bridges are formed in the high polymer 6 or supermicro holes are formed in the surface thereof by irradiation of the electron beam. Also electric charge injected by the electron beam may remain in the conductive high polymer 6.
