Recirculating fourdrinier cleaner - uses angled gap between fourdrinier and airjet entry bar for water jet stream

The appts. to clean a recirculating fourdrinier, in a papermaking machine, with a bar at the entry side and a bar at the exit side to give a gap between them for an air jet, has a structured entry bar shape which forms a wedge-shaped gap between the fourdrinier and the bar in front of it, tapering in the direction of fourdrinier travel. A jet delivers a water stream into the angled gap between the fourdrinier and the entry bar. Pref. the angle between the line of the fourdrinier and the entry bar to the cleaning unit is 10-45 deg., pref. 30 deg. The water jet is a tube with flat jets to deliver flat water streams. The slit to blow air at the fourdrinier forms an unbroken air jet passage, or it is formed by a number of air jet drillings or separate jet slits in a successive row. ADVANTAGE - The application of water to the fourdrinier before it is cleaned by an air jet increases the cleaning action on the fourdrinier.
