PURPOSE:To recognize sound generation timing visually and to set desired sound generation timing by providing a means which displays the sound generation timing of each beat of tempo data graphically and varies the tempo data. CONSTITUTION:When an operator turns on the power source, a CPU 1 loads a program written in a ROM 2 and enters a stand-by state and when the operator inputs a specific command, the CPU 1 reads a tempo editor program out of an external storage device 6 and actuates the program. Then the CPU 1 extracts the tempo data from performance data stored in a RAM 3 and displays a specific number of measures on a display device 5 graphically. Then when the timing of a specific beat, a specific measure position, or the number of beats in the specific measure of the displayed tempo data is varied, the tempo data is rewritten. Consequently, the sound generation timing of each beat of the tempo data is recognized visually and the data can easily be set to desired timing. |
