SHIELDED GRADIENT COIL FOR NUCLEAR MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING

A shielded gradient coil assembly (14) for MRI. The assembly (14), consists of two sets of coils arranged concentrically. Innermost set (64), includes primary and gradient coils. The outermost set (66) includes shield, shim and correction coils. The gradient coils in assembly (14) are wound with Litz wire. Primary and gradient coils are supported on a unitary member.
