PURPOSE:To speedily insert a wired terminal into the terminal housing of a connector housing with high accuracy by clamping a terminal so as to pull it between paired guide arm and a terminal retaining arm, and carrying out the terminal insertion in a manner to push it out. CONSTITUTION:After a wired terminal 50 is positioned at a predetermined position, a holding claw 34 is closed at the fore end of guide arms 40. Under the conditions, a wire 50a of the wired terminal 50 is stored between the guide arms 40, and the claw 34 is moved back along the guide arm 40 while the vicinity of terminal 50b of the wire 50a is clamped by the claw 34. Then the terminal 50b is clamped while it is pulled in between the paired guide arms 40 and a terminal retaining arm 20, and the terminal is moved ahead of the terminal housing 3a of the connector housing 3 while being clamped. Thereafter the claw 34 is advanced along the guide arm 40. Consequently the terminal 50b is housed in the housing 3a while being guided. |
