PURPOSE:To reduce a quality of cables and each mother board is constituted of a printed board whose number of laminated layers is small by installing mother boards to connect the connectors of the respective ports of a plurality of magnetic disk devices, and making the cables connect the respective mother boards only. CONSTITUTION:The outside connectors 1-4 of a mother board 25 are connected respectively to the outside connectors 1-4 of a mother board 26 with a cable 31, and the outside connectors 17-20 of the mother board 25 are respectively connected to the 4 upper devices with the cable 29. Terminal resistors are respectively connected to outside connectors 17-20 of the mother board 26. With such constitution as above, the upper device connected to the outside connector 17 of the mother board 25 through the cable 29 selects one of 8 magnetic disk devices and can transfer data through the ports connected to the inside connectors 5, 9, 13 and 21 of the mother boards 25, 26; so that connection between the mother boards is only required for the cable, and it is thereby possible to reduce the number of laminated layers of mult-layer printed boards of which the mother boards are constituted. |
