PURPOSE:To improve durability by sticking a sheet having the cut-out of a display onto a hand rail, applying a colored urethane resin through the cut-out to a desired film thickness, and then applying a coat of a transparent urethane resin thereon. CONSTITUTION:A sheet 4 having a cut-out 4a corresponding to a display is stuck onto the surface of the polished dressed rubber layer 3a of a hand rail 3. Then, a colored liquid urethane resin (having an extension ratio higher than that of the rail 3) is applied onto the cut-out 4a, and this is repeated several times to form a display 6 having a desired thickness. The sheet 4 is peeled, and a coat of a liquid transparent urethane resin is applied onto the whole hand rail 3 surface to make the film thickness except the display 5 equal to that of the display 5, whereby a coating film 6 is formed. Thus, the display can be made to a desired film thickness, and the expansion ratios of both the resins can be made higher than that of the hand rail 3 to prevent cracking. |
