PURPOSE:To avoid a missing picture by generating a mask pattern signal in which a reduction rate is kept identical and only a signal pattern is made different for each line and printing out the data while the interleaving position of the picture element data is differentiated from each line. CONSTITUTION:A read picture element data is not processed but read synchronously with a mask pattern signal generated in advance in response to a set reduction rate at print and print heads 4a, 4b are driven so as to interleave a picture element data for each line according to the mask pattern signal. In this case, since the mask pattern signal is generated to have a different pattern from each line while keeping a same reduction rate, the picture element to be interleaved from the picture element data differs from each line. Since the picture data printed out with interleaving is not coincident with each line, complete missing of part of an original picture is not caused. |
