PURPOSE:To improve the lighting efficiency of an EL panel by providing zero cross switches and the reverse bias channel by diodes in the switching channel of an inverter. CONSTITUTION:The one end of an LC circuit including the EL panel EL and an inductor L at least as one component of a series component is coupled to the coupling output terminal 20 of coupling output terminals 14a, 15b of the inverter and the other end is grounded. The charges charged up by the combined effects of the LC circuit, the zero cross switch mechanisms T1, T2 of the inverter channel and the bias channel by the reverse current bypassing diodes D1, D2 are recovered as a reverse flow current on the same supply power source side. The improvement in the lighting efficiency of the EL panel EL is made in this way. |
