摘要 Gasification of plastic waste to produce synthesis gas is claimed, in which the waste is liquefied by adding reactive gases such as O2, H2, or water vapour at elevated temp., and melting and degrading the polymers so that they can be sprayed into reactors using conventional appts. An appts. for carrying out the process is also claimed. The appts. comprises a melt vessel with a grate, under which is a collecting chamber for the melt. The vessel is connected to a pump and a mixing chamber, in which the reaction gases are mixed and compressed. ADVANTAGE - Clean waste as well as polluted waste, such as light fractions obtd. in the shredding of automobiles, can be used in the process. (6pp Dwg.No.0/1)
