The coverings are mfd. or retrofitted with a magnetic coating or film on the back which does not interfere with rolling, laying, transport and cutting. They are laid on the floor or hung on the wall which is provided with a corresp. magnetic coating. The film may be self-adhesive on either the covering or the wall or floor, or both. The method is esp. suited to so-called double flooring. ADVANTAGE - Carpets and wall hangings can be fixed easily without adhesive or other bonding, and removed without difficulty at any time.
