The toothbrush designed for massaging the gums has a handle (5) to which two heads (1) and (2) are attached. BBristles(3) are attached to each head (1) and (2) on the sides which face towards each other. The bristles of one set have a different hardness from the bristles of the other set. The brush is made from a flat piece of material with a slit (15) extending from the head end. The heads (1,2) extend outwards from each side of the handle (5) and each head (1) and (2) is bent along a line (12), which runs parallel to the handle, and the heads are then inclined to each other symmetrically about the centre-line (4) with an included angle (17).
