The piston (2) is fastened to the connecting rod (7) by a bolt (5). This bolt (5) has a cylindrical head (9) which fits in a transverse bore in the piston (2). This bolt has a shank with a plain dia. (12) and a screw thread (11). The plain dia. (12) fits in the eye in the end of the connecting rod while the screw thread (11) engages a nut (13). The nut (13) has a cylindrical external contour and fits in the transverse bore in the piston. The nut (13) has the same OD as that of the head (9) of the bolt (5).
