The circuit detects the reception level of the received signal and compensates the gain attenuation of transmission line according to the reception level. The circuit includes a gain controller (10) for adjusting the analog signal gain according to the gain control data, a 2/4 line changer (20) for transmitting the output signal of the gain controller through a secondary winding of a transformer (30) and for transmitting the signal of the secondary winding to an analog signal input terminal (35), a bandpass filter (40) for filtering the input analog signal by a first and a second bandpass filter, an amplifier (50) for amplifying the filtered signal, a voltage converter (60) for rectifying the amplified analog signal, and a reception level detector (70) for detecting the reception state information by comparing the rectified voltage to a first and a second reference voltage.
