PURPOSE:To improve operability by equipping a control means for enabling a document placed on the first document tray to be copied in the first copying mode set up with a setting means, and another document placed on the second document tray successively to be copied in the same first copying mode. CONSTITUTION:Upon completion of the discharge of the last document set onto a sheet feed tray 310 (i.e. the first document tray), a discharge instruction is transmitted, and reverse preparation and discharge processing is thereby performed. Thereafter, a document transfer instruction is transmitted, thereby transferring a document bundle SS from a reserve tray 350 (i.e. the second document tray) to the aforesaid tray 310. In a copying operation according to the first copying mode, the last document is copied, and after the completion of the discharge of the copied sheets thereof, a display screen shows the second copying mode as set up. In this case, a reverse copying mode is not set up, and a document when set onto the tray 350, is regarded as continuous from a document on the tray 310. Consequently, the document is copied in the same copying mode as for the document on the tray 310. |
