A process for the manufacturing of sectional warps or warps wound on warping beams and consisting of synthetic filament yarns. The raw material consists of a band of parallel, synthetic filament yarns, which are guided througha heated sizing zone. The band is subsequently led through a heated predrying zone and through a final drying zone and finally wound on warp beams . The filaments of the filament yarn are not fully drawn and are drawn together and simultaneously in the predrying zone.
