The sealed coupling is used when joining two cables together. The coupling has a tubular body (1) with sealing elements at each end. The cables pass through the centre of the sealing elements and the outer surface has a groove into which is set a sealing ring (6). Located around the cables at the ends are clamping seals that are in two halves (14) that are pressed into firm contact by screws and are enclosed by cover plates.
