<p>PURPOSE:To enable repetition of stable and secure regeneration by setting flow velocity of regenerated gas at a predetermined value or lower at the time of regeneration of a filter provided with electric heaters on its outer circumferential wall surface and the end surface on the upper stream side. CONSTITUTION:In an exhaust gas purifying device 1, a large number of pores 9 extending and penetrating in the axial direction are formed by a partition wall 8 having gas permeability on a filter 4, and one end of the pore 9 and the other end of the adjoining pore 9 are alternately blocked by plugs 11 and 12. Here, on the outer circumferential wall surface of the filter 4, and outer circumferential heater 15 is provided, and an end surface heater 14 on the end surface on the upper stream side. At the time of regeneration of the filter 4, flow velocity of regenerated gas flowing through the filter 4 is set at a predetermined value or lower. By this regenerated gas whose flow velocity is controlled and heating of the heaters 14 and 15, most of accumulated particulate components are removed, and regeneration rate of the filter 4 is improved, and generation of cracks and melting damages at the regeneration can be prevented.</p> |
