PURPOSE:To easily drive a memory disk with a compact driver and its driving force by making an armature coil opposite to a memory disk to the outer face or the inside of which a magnetic substance layer is formed, supplying an AC drive current to the coil, applying a magnetic field to the magnetic substance layer and driving the coil. CONSTITUTION:An armature coil is made opposite to a memory disk 1 on the outer face or the inside of which a magnetic substance layer 4a made of a permanent magnet or an iron core material is formed, a magnetic field is applied to the magnetic substance layer 4a by suppling an AC drive current to the coil to drive the memory disk 1. That is, a rotor pattern made of the permanent magnet or the iron core material for driving is formed on the rear side or the outside of a recording area used for the signal write/readout of the disk is formed and the pattern is placed in an AC electric field by an exter nal stator and an armature coil or the like to produce a torque. Thus, the memory disk 1 is driven with a high torque and excellent speed control accuracy by using compact drive mechanism and less power consumption. |
