<p>A heat insulation system for fluid carrying furnace pipes, wherein a plurality of pairs of shell parts (22a, 22b) are adapted to be fitted around a pipe to be insulated. The shell parts (22a, 22b) are fabricated from a vacuum formed ceramic fibre material and the two shell parts (22a, 22b) in each pair are connected together mechanically by a coupling means (36) which enables each of the shell parts to be releasable individually from an operational position on the pipe. <IMAGE> <IMAGE></p> |
