OBTAINING PROCESS FOR AN ANTI-HBs SERUM

The process comprises intradermal immunisation with a mixt. of 3 vol. of HBs antigen, partly purified (1/64) and 3 vol. of Freund additive; intramuscular administration after 30 days of 5 vol. of partly purified antigen and, after a further 30 days, of 10 vol. of partly purified HBs antigen, is then carried out. Then, 7, 14 and 16 days after the final inoculation the serum obtained is adsorbed with an equal volume of human serum contg. anti HBs antibodies of up to 1.2 titre.
