PURPOSE: To accelerate picture processing by assigning a color to all the inner triangular areas when a pair of outer triangular areas at diagonal positions are provided with the pertinent same color and assigning the same color with an adjacent outer triangular area to each inner triangular area in the other cases. CONSTITUTION: A color is assigned to pixels positioned within areas 1 to 4 and the same color with that of the original pixels each area belongs to is assigned to the pixels within these areas. Consequently, in the case of a rectangular area 16, the color added with oblique lines is assigned to the areas 1, 3 and 4 and on the other hand, the color without oblique lines are assigned to the area 2. When the color of the area l is the same with that of the area 4 or/and the color of the area 2 is the same with that of the area 3, four original pixels form checks consisting of two colors so that any change is generated within the area including the rectangle 16. In addition the areas 1 and 4 are provided with different colors, the same color with the area 2 is assigned to all the inner areas 5 to 8, thereby accelerating picture processing. |
