<p>The noise behaviour of the piston pump is to be improved. …<??>The piston pump has a drive shaft (13), which has a cylindrical tumbling journal (14) bent at an acute angle ( beta ) to its longitudinal axis (O) with a rolling bearing ring (18) arranged on the peripheral side. A pump piston (21) acts with its end face (27), designed as part of a spherical surface, on the circumferential surface (29) of the rolling bearing ring (18). The longitudinal axes (O, P) of the drive shaft (13) and of the pump piston (21) run in a common plane and intersect at right angles. In addition the longitudinal axes (O, T) of the drive shaft (13) and the tumbling journal (14) are staggered. By means of this configuration a delivery phase considerably longer than the intake phase is achieved during a pump cycle. Changes in pressure and force therefore occur more slowly in the extended delivery phase, which improves the noise behaviour of the piston pump (10). …<??>The piston pump (10) may be used, for example, in vehicle brake systems for delivering brake fluid.</p> |
