This metering pump is of the type consisting of a cylindrical metering chamber in which there opens an intake pipe and a delivery pipe for a product to be metered under the action of a linearly controlled piston capable of moving in the said chamber over a predetermined travel. According to the invention, the metering chamber (2) consists of a jacket (7), preferably closed at one end (9), capable of being driven in rotation in a pump body (11) about an axis (XX') corresponding to that of the piston (5) and including means of opening and closing the intake (3) and delivery (4) pipes which it has, these means preferably consisting of a radial transfer pipe (15) which comes in line with the intake and delivery pipes (3, 4).
