PURPOSE:To simply and inexpensively obtain the title grains useful as standard grains, carrier for diagnosis and especially liquid crystal spacer and free from elution of coloring agent by coating colored solid fine-grain surface with a coating film obtained from an organic titanate compound. CONSTITUTION:1 pts.wt. solid fine grains consisting of e.g. styrene based thermoplastic polymer or aluminum oxide are dispersed in a dispersing medium such as n-pentane, preferably of 3-500 pts.wt. and an organic titanium compound such as tetraethoxytitanium, preferably of 0.003-0.3 pts.wt. is added thereto and the mixture is stirred at ordinary temperature, preferably for 30min to 6hr to coat the solid fine grains with the titanius compound and then a dispersing medium is filtered and the coated grains are heated, preferably at 45-250 deg.C for 30min to 5hr to provide the aimed grains. |
