<p>PURPOSE:To enable a pivotal end to be surely developed even in a curved air bag lid by latching the pivotal fulcrum side end edge of the air bag lid pivotably to an instrument panel while connecting the air bag lid to the car body side member through an expansible elastic member. CONSTITUTION:The pivotal fulcrum side ends of air bag lids 18, 19 are pivotably latched to an instrument panel 6. The air bag lids 18, 19 are connected to the car body side member 20 through an expansible elastic member 23. Then, in the occurrence of shocks, while the air bag lids 18, 19 are moved to the compartment side by the extension of the elastic member 23, the pivotal fulcrum side ends are restriced to predetermined positions by a tensile force of the elastic member 23, so that even curved air bag lids 18, 19 can be surely developed by relatively simple constitution.</p> |
