When drying solns., the temp., pressure, partial pressure and the speed of drying medium are adjusted, so that the amt. of moisture removed by the appts. is more than the amt. which diffuses from the surface of the soln.. A thin layer or skin is formed on a belt, and the skin is dried. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used in the chemical, food and pharmacueitcal industries. A thin even skin is formed on the belt.
