A safety device, used for automatic stopping of a slide of the press consists of an infrared condensing and detecting system for sensing a signal of far infrared radiation, a filtering and amplifying section for filtering and amplifying the far infrared radiation in a specified wavelength range corresponding to the human body, the specified range of wavelengths being distinct from any noise other than the human body, and a comparing and determining section for determining whether or not the human body is in safety or dangerous state. |
