The bag consists of a sheet (10) of tear-resistant material, e.g. high-density polyethylene, which may be spread at least partly over the surface of the litter tray. Edge portions (11) of the sheet allow temporary fastening over the lips of the tray. A litter product may be spread over the surface of the sheet. After use the edges of the sheet may be gripped manually and gathered to form a closure, which may be secured by a cord (12) passing through a sleeve formed peripherally in the edge of the sheet. ADVANTAGE - Keeps tray surface clean and allows simple, hygienic handling of soiled litter.
