The air-cooled, cast-iron brake disc is cast in one-piece and consists of an inner and an outer annular disc (1, 2) between which are radial cooling-ridges (3). A pan-shaped piece with wall (6) and base (5) is joined in the middle to the annular discs (1, 2). A flange (7) is formed in a curve between two cooling ridges (3) joined to it. On the wall (6) of the pan-shaped section's end and the flange (7) slopes towards the pivot axle of the annular discs (1, 2). USE/ADVANTAGE - The transition between the pan shaped piece and annular disc is designed so that the brake disc withstands high loads.
