发明名称 COMPOSITE CERAMICS AND PRODUCTION THEREOF
摘要 PURPOSE:To easily, efficiently obtain a Mg-ZrO2 composite ceramics by forming a mixture of magnesia and zirconia followed by calcination. CONSTITUTION:The objective composite ceramics can be obtained by mixing and forming of magnesia and zirconia followed by calcination at 1200-1600 deg.C for 1-3hr. Since ZrO2 is expensive, it is preferable that its content be lower in terms of cost; however, if the content is <10wt.%, the effect from ZrO2 incorporation will be insufficient; whereas if the content exceeds 30wt.%, granular growth will be developed due to sintering among ZrO2 granules, leading to residual expansion. And because of high heat capacity of ZrO2, much incorporation of ZrO2 will result in the higher heat capacity of the final composite material, thus being disadvantageous as a setter material. Therefore, the contents of ZrO2 and MgO are determined as 10-30wt.% and 70-90wt.%, respectively.
