PURPOSE:To get a coaxial cable of a high quality by forming an external conductor not in a welding process, but in a pressure fixing process. CONSTITUTION:In a mold pressure fixing device 7, a pressure fixing die 71 is installed, having a hollow cylindrical transportation path coaxial with a core 1, on the way to the proceeding path of the core 1. On a transportation path inside the die 71, the conduction portion of a linear conductor bent at right angles is installed on the way to the path, and this portion is adjacent to the external circumference of a press fitting wheel 72 and opened in the tangental direction of the external circumference. The press fitting wheel 72 is rotatingly driven by a strong driving force, and two guide grooves 72A are made in the external circumferential surface and a linear conductor 2A is sent in the linear conductor inlet portion of the die 71 according to the rotation of the press fitting wheel 72 through friction caused by the contact while the linear conductor 2A comes into contact with the bottoms of the guide grooves 72A. The core 1 is quickly cooled by a cooling device immediately after an external conductor 2 is formed on the circumference of the core 1, and after the outside diameter and the cross sectional shape thereof are adjusted by the tube drawing die located on the downstream, the core 1 is taken out by a receiver and taken up a take-up. |
